We had a ferret from judy a a few years back and judy was so helpful and is always there if needed or if advice is needed

dookies ferret rescue is on of the best going with 3 rescues under her wing and they run a great a show as well

judy and jud are great. met them at a ferret club i joined last month. they are always bringing new ones to the club.

shame they closed their doors on the 12 th may

did they really - how sad. Wonder why when they appeared to be doing so well?

it would appear that they got nastily & unfairly victimized on another forum from what I can gather

ah - I see - I have to admit that I stay away from forums with the exception of this one for that very reason. You lot are ok though. What a loss to the ferrets though when a rescue such as dookies closes :(

It is such a shame, very few people care about ferret's full stop, doing my best to change attitudes around here with a modest amount of success so far, I don't mind taking in the odd fuzzie or 2 in dire need, but running a rescue would be far too much to take on

dookies are not shut completely we are open for rehoming and due to the vast intake of ferrets space is now limited to strays abandoned and abused ferrets as they are priority we can not take sign overs till we have space for them.

Be a great loss if you totally shut judy

had to close doors deano to basicly stop people just dumping ferrets because they no longer want them im sorry to have to do this but as i said strays etc are our priority while space is limited
and there is a lot of personal stuff going on at the moment that the rspca are looking into nothing bad about the rescue they are very happy with things here just a lot of stuff been said about the rescue that they are not happy with

I wish you all the best. I only rescue on a very small scale but it is still hard and at times you can feel the world is against you.

I hope all works out for you and the rescue and I know that all the ferrets you have and have had through your doors will be very grateful that you have been there for them and continue to be for those most in need.

update on dookies wigan and cheshire.
both branches are now closed on a permanent basis,all shows are cancelled.
